I've been testing .223 round grains and manufacturers the last few weeks. I bought a lot of Wolf and TulAmmo, but was not getting groups any better than 1.5" at 100yds. I'm using a .223 Tikka T3 1:8 twist. My best groups with Federal Premium Sierra Match King Gold Medal 69 gr and 77gr. I was able to get 5 shots inside 1/2 inch. I am very pleased with this ammo. Considering the cost of other Match grade ammo, this is a very good buy.
Excellent ammo when accuracy counts
I shoot this through a 16" LaRue OBR 556 and compared to all other match-grade .223 I've tried, this consistently shoots the smallest groups at distances out to 300 yards (as far as I can shoot at home). I pretty routinely shoot about sub-minute, and I can get down to a half-minute if I'm careful. The ammo will definitely do it. If you need maximum accuracy I would highly recommend Federal GMM. I've never had a mis-feed or failure of any kind, and Lucky's pricing is pretty good. If you're going to practice close-quarter drills, I'd shoot less expensive 55 grain stuff, this is overkill at $1.20/round.
