Imagine the most embarrassing moment of your life. Maybe it was that time you accidentally stepped on Suzie Derkins’ feet at the Peachtree Dance. Or maybe it was that time you got sick all over Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa’s lap back in ‘92. Doesn’t matter. The only point I’m making is this: Your most embarrassing moment to date won’t be half as bad as if you are seen damaging an M1 Garand at the gun range.

Don’t learn that lesson the hard way. Avoid it entirely by investing in this M2 ball spec M1 Garand-safe 30-06 ammunition by Hornady!

This cartridge’s 150 grain full metal jacket projectile is totally unextraordinary. It is one of Hornady’s own balanced and aerodynamic copper-jacketed lead-core FMJs; i.e. a bullet just like any other you might find in a 30-06 range load. What makes it special is its lower chamber pressure, which is safe on the old operating rod, and the reason for the round’s *slightly* lower muzzle velocity of 2,740 fps (lower relative to a modern commercial hunting load, at least).

If you can live with yourself for depriving some poor M1 Garand owner of it, then you have great-great fun firing this ammo in any other 30-06 rifle.
