This round’s bullet features a form-fitted lead core to keep it better stabilized in flight, a narrow and ballistically efficient meplat (or tip, if you don’t spean “Gunnerese”), and a gently angled boat tail base. Its base’s taper helps the bullet to create less drag, which in turn keeps its trajectory faster, flatter, and better shielded against wind drift.
Please note that the HPBT is not a hunting bullet. Although it’s plenty powerful enough to take out a coyote or rodent, it will not mushroom outward as it penetrates muscle tissue and is accordingly poorly suited for deer hunting.
Armscor has been around in one shape or form in the Philippines for nearly a hundred years. They’re most famous for their affordable Rock Island Armory 1911 pistols, but their ISO certified ammo factory also loads consistent range loads with new brass cases, non-corrosive primers and clean-burning charges of powder.
