Do you already got half of those things? Then we hope we’ve got the remaining piece right here: Sellier & Bellot’s Czechian-made goodness, loaded with nonmagnetic 158 grain full metal jackets!
That bullet’s weight is more popular for hunting than it is defense. The FMJ may very well prove instructive if you’re training for hunting season, but it’s still a bona fide hoot if you’re only shooting for fun. The FMJ does have a flat nose, which alongside its rigid brass exterior promises A-OK action in lever guns.
Sellier & Bellot loads this ammunition with new brass cases, plus the noncorrosive primers the bullets needs to hit 1,263 fps muzzle velocity out of a 6” tube. Here’s what you can expect of the 0.184 G1 BC FMJ if your own wheelgun’s barrel is the same:
0yds: 1,263 fps | 560 ft lbs | -0.2”
25yds: 1,202 fps | 507 ft lbs | 0.7”
50yds: 1,148 fps | 463 ft lbs | 0.0”
75yds: 1,102 fps | 426 ft lbs | -2.3”
100yds: 1,063 fps | 396 ft lbs | -6.4”
125yds: 1,029 fps | 371 ft lbs | -12.4”
