We made a little blunder the other day. We took in a shipment of 38 Special +P ammo from Speer’s Lawman line of ammunition, but we only noticed that it evinced minor signs of corrosion until it was too late to send it back. C'est la vie. Now our oversight can be a win for you, because we’re offering this cosmetically spotty yet still functional range ammo for a low price!

This round is ideal for training, especially at indoor ranges. Speer designed it to very closely mimic the performance of an analogous self-defense load, and outfitted it with a 158 grain total metal jacket projectile. Such a bullet offers all the advantages of an FMJ, but its jacket goes further to envelop its base. That keeps the heat of ignition from vaporizing the bullet’s core, making for an altogether healthier environment to breathe and shoot in.

If you can look past its blemishes, you’ll see that this round’s casing is still very much indicative of Speer’s commitment to drawing high quality brass. As a +P round, its hotter propellant charge boosts its muzzle velocity to a zippy 900 fps -- perfect if you’d use +P loads for self-defense as well. Just make sure your 38 Special pistol is rated to handle the added pressure in its chamber!
