Fiocchi is an Italian ammunition company that's been in the same family since 1872. They make ammo for civilians and military forces all over the world and have the distinction of being specifically certified for use by NATO forces.
Almost every aspect of manufacturing Fiocchi ammunition is controlled directly by the company. They make a lot of their own loading machines, and nearly all the components of their ammo are produced in-house, as well. Even the lead used in their projectiles comes from Fiocchi's own lead recycling business.
Though they're based in Italy, much of Fiocchi's handgun ammo is actually produced in the US. However, the 230 grain .45 ACP ammo that we shot for this test is marked as "assembled in Hungary." The bullets are a normal lead core, full metal jacket, and the cases are reloadable brass with a non-corrosive primer. Accuracy was decent from the bench at 15 yards using a Springfield XDM. We had no problems with reliability, and all six of our test guns fit the Fiochhi ammo with no problems to speak of.
With a stellar international reputation and great performance, Fiocchi ammo in .45 ACP is a great bet for the range.

Great Range Ammo Great Price
Great ammo, accurate, as clean burning as any out there. Went through 200 rounds with SA RO Elite Champion with no FTF, FTE. All worked perfectly and grouped tightly at 25 yards. Highly recommend and will buy again. Also very quick delivery from LG. A great place!
Good, acccurate range ammo; but get the over-box
I shot more than 1,500 rounds of this Fiocchi ammo during a 6-day training exercise. The ammo was reliable. No malfunctions or problems at any time. I usually shoot Federal American Eagle. This Fiocchi was slightly dirtier than that ammo, but it's still pretty clean. We did a lot of static shooting drills, and I was able to put rounds through existing holes at 12 yards with an HK45. I made a very high percentage of hits on small targets while shooting on the move at 18-35 yards. I guess I would say this ammo shoots consistently and accurately. It was on sale for $275/1,000 rounds. That's a phenomenal deal for such good quality ammo.
The only issue was that both case boxes were badly damaged and literally falling apart when they arrived, so I was really, really happy that I had chosen the Over-Box option. Lots of the individual boxes were sloshing around inside the over-box. Given this experience, I would say over-boxing is definitely a necessity given the weight of this ammo and the manufacturer's (way too) "easy open" perforated box design.
If this stays on sale, I will definitely buy more.
Excellent quality and service
Had trouble with some other brands in my 1911. Not a single problem with these. The price was comparable to some re-loads I found. My Son also has a 1911 and had some failure to feed problems with other brands. I gave him some of my Fiocchi and all went well. NO miss-feeds... NO failure to feed...NO jam-ups. Will buy more of these.
After I purchased my Taurus PT 1911AR, this was the first brand of 45's I bought. They worked very nicely, especially after I gave the weapon a very through cleaning. After that I have had no problems. Very good ammo.
I really like the very quick shipping LG has. They are great
Great deal with beautiful service
Bought 1000 rounds and went down to less than half the first day at the range without a hitch in my HK45c
I mounted the laser sight and shot 11 rounds into the same oblong hole slightly off center.
Adjusted the laser a bit and did the same 11 rounds into the same oblong hole dead center.
No missed-feeds,...No Jams,....No issues what so ever !!
I Had to clean my rig, but that done with just a damp wash cloth and no down time.
Next day shot the rest and I am going to order 1000 more.
Do not hesitate to buy from LuckyGunner you will not be disappointed at all !!!
Pretty good stuff
Cleaner than some of the more popular ammo in similiar price range. I don't shoot this all the time but haven't had any issues with it to date. So far have found this to be a good, consistent and accurate target round. Try the Fiocchi Extrema JHP's if you can find them. Starline brass, Hornady XTP JHP, very accurate SD round and usually priced well in 50 rd. boxes.
Burns clean, shoots well. Limited residue.
If given a choice between this and the four other bulk .45 ammos available I would pick this hands-down.
I run this ammo through a Wilson Tactical Elite and have been very happy with it. Other bulk/discount ammo seems to leave more deposits behind and is harder to clean. This ammo has a light, cleaner and slightly sweet metallic smell after firing.
VERY Solid Ammo
This seems to be one of the best performing, most accurate practice rounds that I've put through the Springfield 1911. Slightly more expensive than others, but if you worry about subprime ammo for hot and heavy practice, you can feel good about this. Have shot several thousand rounds of it, and will continue to use it with total confidence.
New to Lucky Gunner
Great Ammo! 250 Rounds, no problems with my Glock 21. 500 rounds through my Beretta CX4 carbine, perfect! I recieved my order ONE DAY after shipping. I was on the Range in 24 hours. Awesome all the way, 5 stars for Lucky Gunner!
