The 45 ACP is not the easiest cartridge in the world to master. Its big bullet leaves a big mark in its target, no question, but at so slow a muzzle velocity it has a tendency to serve up a distinctly arching trajectory. If you’ve set out to wield this classic military round like a pro, you’re going to need a proper supply of good range ammo – ammo like Federal Champion.

Fire this round to enjoy the 45 Auto’s classic ballistic performance. With its 230 grain bullet loaded to an 830 fps muzzle velocity out of a 5” barrel, it offers recoil, point of aim, and trajectory exactly like the standard mil-spec load. This round’s full metal jacket bullet is military style too, which is to say it won’t fan out to dig a wound channel much wider than 0.452”. You’re not bound to the Hague Convention like our Armed Forces are, so consider getting JHP ammo instead of this in case you ever have to shoot outside of the range.

Don’t confuse this Champion ammo for Federal’s aluminum cased stuff. Each round features a new production and supremely reloadable brass case. Each round is also non-corrosive and designed to create very little fouling overall.
