Technically, this round’s bullet is a “metal case,” which is functionally identical to a full metal jacket. As such you can expect this cartridge to feed in your semi-automatic pistol as smooth as jazz music, and to prevent its bore from quickly devolving into a leaden mess. (You can’t expect terminal expansion for self-defense from an FMJ, though.) The bullet itself weighs 230 grains and issues out of the muzzle at 835 fps, giving it ballistic performance just like the 45 ACP has been known to give for over 100 years.
Remington’s UMC label stands for accessible pricing, but never poor quality. This 45 ACP cartridge has the brass shell casing that chambers so well and extracts so fluidly, the non-corrosive primer that sparks to life at a pin drop, and the consistently loaded propellant needed for interchangeable performance after every trigger pull. You’ll definitely want to put firing this ammo on your bucket list!
