Glock 21 loves this
I purchased a variety of 45 ammo here recenty, from stuff I use to shoot on the training range in my LE career (Speer) to higher end name brand stuff, but these rounds are really my favorite. I fired 200 rounds in one range day recently - not a single malfunction. This stuff shoots clean, and I see no issues with accurancy either - I am buying more. Oh, and it is actually easier to carry in my ammo cans in the bags it is sold in here.
bad ammo, wont feed.
ordered 400 round all 4 bags had rounds that the bullet was pressed into case crooked. bullet bulging out one side of case. Would not feed, jammed badly twice in 24 rounds. If you buy this ammo inspect it closely before firing. Bad QC.
Excellent Range Round
This was my first purchase with lucky gunner. These rounds were exactly as advertised. I fired these through a brand new Taurus 1911 and didn't have one jam or misfire. I highly recommend this product. The shipping is somewhat pricy but that is not the fault of the seller so I gave 5 stars across the board
Not bad at all!
I was a bit skeptical because some of the reviews were not so great..but I put 200 rounds through my Glock 21 Gen 4 and there was zero problems. A little dirty..but that is fine. Next time I see them on sale I will purchase more for sure.
Much better than I thought, very happy
So far I've purchased Military Ballistics 9mm, .40s&w, and .45ACP and have been very pleased with the price and quality. I've used other reloads before so I know what junk you can end up with. The MBI has out performed many bulk factory stuff. It's fairly clean burning, had zero ammo related malfunctions. I've used it in everything from Rugers to Wilson Combat and I'll keep buying it, it hasn't failed yet.
Amazing Ammo At A Price You Cannot Beat!
I just finished shooting about 800rnds of this ammo at the range and had one that didn't fire due to the overly light firing pin in my 1911. Another cock of the hammer and she went boom. Fantastic and consistent ammo, I could land a full mag sharing the same hole no problem at 20 ft (considering I am a mediocre shot that's impressive!). The brass comes in all different brands but is BRASS for the price of steel casings. None of the shells were dented or damaged however some of the ones I had I noticed a very rounded lip on the base, but they all fed no problems. I didn't have a single failure besides the light strike, no FF's or FE's at all. Great ammo and I cannot recommend it enough for range shooting and practice. Fantastic!
Bought 200 rounds ov the stuff to start with. Figured I'll buy more later. Turnd out thst i should of bought more . the ammo fired flawlessly. Didn't have a FTF or a misfeed out of the bunch. The ammo ran better i thought it would. Will buy more in the future. Thanks Lucky Gunner!
Great price and quality!!
My order was shipped fast, deliver fast, but only thing I didn't like was my rounds were spilled inside the packaging box since the rounds were inside a plastic bag; not my preferred method of packaging if you ask me!!
But other than that; I have a PARA X 1911 45ACP and the rounds were absolutely awesome, accurate and no issues with any of them. Even though it was my first Tim shooting this gun since I bought it.
I will definitely recommend this rounds to anybody else, and I'll be buying them again. Thanks guys!!!
I have shopped at several online stores. I still price compare when I order. I still find that 99% of the time Lucky Gunner is the cheapest and has great quality of rounds. Keep up the great work guys and I will be ordering more soon.
Was planning on shooting half of this (50 rounds) last range session and about 30 rounds in I got a "pfft" instead of a bang. Along with a bunch of junk in the face. Sure enough, the projectile was stuck halfway down the barrel. Think that round missed the powder loading machine. First squib I've experienced, so when in doubt folks, check your bore! Better than blowing up your gun.
Other than that, no problems.
Lucky Gunner & MBI both models of excellence!
Great ammo for the price and being reloads. I have bought and run almost 5k rounds combined of 45ACP, 40 S&W and 9mm thru my H&K's and they just eat them up. I can honestly say I can count on one hand the FTF's or TFE's on one hand. As Lucky Gunner....well they are model of efficient professionals. Always ships fast and have always received my deliveries in two or three days.
Reliable operation, a few hot and cold loads in the pack.
Ran through 600 rounds in my SA 1911 Mil-spec stainless. 2 FTF ( may have been excessive oil or cleaner in firing pin bore), fired with a second drop both times. I have noticed the occasional light or heavy load. It's about 5 or 6 out of a pack. Federal, Winchester, PMC, etc casings.
Got another 900 waiting to be fired. Great training round and price. Recommended
I got this ammo, like others because I'm on a budget.
My Springfield Range Officer eats up steel cased ammo and spits it out.
It ate this stuff but wouldn't spit it out.
Out of 100 rounds I had 20 FTE. On the same day I was shooting steel cased Tulammo and had zero FTE. You're wondering which I shot last? I shot them intermittently one type in a mag and switched out. I got this because it was about the same price as Tulammo and brass. I'm wondering if I just got a bad batch.
Plus side I had zero FTF and accuracy was about the same as Tulammo.
Great ammo, had a couple of duds and a jam or 2 but still a great value and great range rounds! I usually go through 2-300 each time I go. I personally would not use this ammo for home defense/protection but you can purchase your Federal HP's from here too!!!
I got the bulk 45acp there is a few aluminum case but just a few and the rest is all bras case wich is good because I do reload my own ammo.
So far the one's I did shoot worked with absolutely no problems at all
It all feeds good had no ftf fte nothing and the are accurate too.
And the low cost and fast shipping I'll definitely be buying from lucky again and again.
Thank you lucky gunner very happy with the price and quality.
Addendum to comment fron 10/2/2013. Performed flawlessly in Ruger SR45. To the range today and fired 70 rounds. No hiccups at all. One round "sounded" like it may have been a little hotter than the rest but nothing major or scary. After a thorough cleaning it did not seem to have as much residue as most of the major factory ammo. Will be placing another order in a few minutes.
Lucky Gunner-please suggest they start reloading some .380 ammo. I will be first in line to order some.
great ammo and awesome price!
I purchase pretty much all my ammo from Lucky Gunner.... these .45 rounds are great for the price!! My hat is off to the Lucky team ,the specials are always priced excellent and everytime I order something I have it with in a couple of days...YOU GUYS ROCK!
Just received 1st order. As stated there was a mixture of brass
53 Blazer 40 Federal 3 Speer and 1 GFL. Only a couple rounds appeared other than what you would receive in new brass. Will not be concerned at all to fire any of them in my Ruger SR 45. Shipping and packaging were as stated on website, fast and on time and easy to track thru UPS system. Will not hesitate to order again. Only next time in a larger quantity.
Not sure yet
Ordered the bulk 45 ACP for my Springfield Stainless 1911 A1 fully loaded. I took it to the range and this is only the 3rd time I fired the gun since purchasing it in Feb of this year. I fired 5 rounds then my weapon locked up and would not budge. I got the last 2 rounds out and put the gun away and came home. I expected to find a mechanical jam up inside but that was not the case. After finally getting everything apart, the slide would not even go back on the frame. I sent the weapon back to springfield and I am supposed to get it back today. I will follow up and let you know what happened.
Only one FTF in 800 rounds
To start with I want to say LuckyGunner is the best place to buy ammo on-line, I've purchased at least 10 different types of 45 ACP for my Glock 21 and I've never had an issue with jams, stove pipes or fail to fire ever!! I've shot probably 10k rounds over the past 2 years. Whenever I see these reloads on LG I will stock up as much as possible, if you see them in stock you better get them quick!'
Well after 10k rounds I finally experienced a fail to fire, there was a good strike on the primer it just didn't fire, I stuck the round back in and it fired on the second attempt.
I have plenty of ammo stockpiled but I will always continue to buy and use these reloads.
Good quality reloads
Plain 'ole .45 hardball, didn't see any deformed or cracked cases, consistent, fine plinking ammo. Received what I ordered, for what I expected to pay, with reasonably fast delivery... Yeah, I'll be back.
Overall a great value
I bought three bags and the ammunition performed well even after several magazines worth of rounds was put through my weapon. As far as reloads go the are top of the line and are easily worth buying. I only rate the value as four stars because they cost about as much non-name brand .45 ACP does in my area. If these weren't reloads the price would be much higher, no doubt! Great value as a whole.
quality ammo for the price, will definately be purchasing more!
I purchased a couple hundred rounds of this ammo and havent had a jam in my springfield xds so far. This is quality ammo for the price. I will be buying more once it mis back in stock.
follow up 45acp
I posted that I had a couple of issue, I would like to let you know I bought 5 bags of 9mm of MBI and had no issues at all with firing my Sig with this ammo. Great for emptying rounds at the range. I have bought lots of ammo from LG and love the company,,,,and maybe MBI just don't like my KRISS 45
Got my 500 rounds and fired off 2bags of 100, 4 jams and 2 rounds did not fire. this is the 1st time this has happened in my Kriss 45acp this is 1 of the most awesome and accurate guns of my collection. keep you posted on the other bags this week end
Great Ammo-Great Service
This is my second purchase of MBI .45 ACP ammo. The first purchase was from another supplier. I have not had an opportunity to fire the ammo from Luckygunner yet. I have found MBI ammo to be superb for target practice. No problems and normal amount of residue using a SA .45 XD 5".
I will continue to purchase from Luckygunner and have passed their web addres to a few close friends.
Great Ammo Great Price
Passed the 100 rds I bought as a test and I am really happy. Being once fired brass I wasn't sure what to expect but my Taurus ate this ammo up like it was nothing. The bag was empty before I knew it. The ony problem I could report is the powder fouls the works up a little more than usual but I clean my weapons after each outing anyway so it wasn't much of a problem. I will order this ammo again!
Great Ammo Great Price
I was a little worried when I ordered this ammo, and I was pleasantly surprised. The price was right but I was worried about fouling due to these being reloaded brass. There was a mix of brands used for brass and the powered was a little dirty, but the rounds passed wonderfully. I will be purchasing these rounds again in the future.
First Purchase from LuckyGunner & first try on this ammo
Product: I bought a couple hundred rounds of this ammo to try in my HK for practice. I'm very happy with it's performance. My HK easily put the follow-up rounds to my first shot in the same hole or touching from 15 yards. Good, consistent practice munitions. I'm going to be buying more as long as the quality/price ratio remains advantageous. I prefer shooting 185 grain.
Purchase Experience: I am a software development project manager to support my shooting habits and have some familiarity with order fulfillment processes. I found this site to be very user friendly for the transaction and the company shipped my order very quickly. It was a great experience. I wish I was one of the partners in the company. :) Thanks!
Gets the job done
Bought it for the price, bought it again because it is the good stuff. I just got a new 1911 and wanted to see what it digest. It cycled every thing in the bag, no problems. I'm going to buy more.
Great ammo at a great price!
I hve bought this ammo before, and it is always very good! Bright clean very consistant shooting ammo! Military Balistics does a wonderful job of making ammo, Lucky Gunner does a wonderful job of delivering ammo!! What a great team!!
Got 200 rounds, shot half at the range and half at a local IDPA competition. Good ammo, not too dirty, only had one round that wouldn't feed, but it happens on the new stuff now and then too. I'm very happy with this ammo, can't beat the price and quality.
I shoot USPSA, I use this ammo for my practice sessions, it performs extremely well, feeds great, and I have never had any problems. I've shot thousands of these through my 1911, this is great stuff. Great ammo, great service, +1 LuckyGunner.com!!!
have used this 45acp before in my american classic 11 and my springfield xd with no problems. also used this ammo in 9mm with my glock 19 and berreta 92 fs with good results. this last purchase was the same. i did buy the 45 acp 185 grain also but have not used them yet but i'm sure the results would be the same
Great range ammo for practice.
Purchased 100 rounds for a trial session at the range. All 100 feed through a Colt Series 80 National Match with zero problems. Accuracy was good, it was difficult to determine if some loads were a little lite, if they were, it was not that noticeable. Besides, you would not use this for match ammo anyway. Although I did achieve a 265 score on a military style qualifying course of fire, non-combat. Assignment as a Range Master during one of my many tours in the military paid dividends after all. A great product for the price. I will be ordering more soon.
Couldn't have been better
Bought a few hundred rounds to try as practice ammo. The PMC stuff I use at the range is so smokey, I hated it. I shot this stuff, minimal smoke, accurate, zero malfunction of any type, only running out! Will buy more before the ban.
Put this stuff in my ".45 ball" ammo can mixed in with Remington and Winchester factory ball ammo. I can't tell the difference between factory stuff and this reloaded stuff. Never any issues. Feeds, goes bang, and extracts. Now to reload it.
WOW...This is great ammo
Sent 100 rounds down range in the off-hand position with rapid fire in a SA 1911 Loaded.
I used a 8rd mag and I expected a miss feed shooting with very little control on recoil..didn't happen. I will get more.
Great ammo in bulk.
I was surprised how good the ammo looked when it arrived. Sure you got your dents and scratches, but that's what reloads are all about. I put around 300 of those through my HK USP .45. Feeds very well, except for 3 rounds that jammed out of all 300. It's expected from the reloads or maybe it was my gun, because it was brand new when I was firing it. Just bought it and that was my first day of firing it, so maybe it was a little too stiff and wasn't broken in yet. As far as ammo, it's great, very well reloaded and looks good, will buy again only those. Unless I get a better deal. Have a good one , hope this review helped.
I bought 500 rounds and I wish Ihad bought 1000. the loads are very stout and strike on point of aim. I have a couple of different 1911's and a Sig p220 in .45 caliber , not a problem one.
500 rds no squib or weak loads, has more velocity than Remington UMC 230 Grain Ball MC ammo new. I like the package, kinda wish it was zip-lok. same point of aim as my carry ammo, hornaday 230 +P XTP also bought from Luckygunner. Fast delivery, good product, easy ordering, the only thing that could make it any better is if the ammo were free of charge. I definately will be purchasing more ammo from these ammo providers.
Reloads, but you'd never know!
Sadly I finished the last of my 100 rounds last week, and now luckygunner is out of stock :(
Happily, every single round fired without a hitch. These are the most consistent and clean commercial reloads I have ever shot. They arrive nice and shiny too. The only thing that gives away the fact that they are reloads are some of the brass casings are nickeled brass vs. conventional brass. Would definitely buy again, this is good stuff.
I bought 200 rounds sight unseen as there was no .45acp anywhere (50mi radius) so I thought, "why not." Boy was I surprised...no FTFs or jams in my Taurus PT24/7 1st gen. All of the rounds were nice&clean. I got the micrometer out and of the 50 in each bag of 100 I sampled were out of spec on a "go-no go-field" test. Please make this stuff in 230gr. JHP and I will back my truck up to your door.
Excellent price, good quality
I purchased 200 rounds of 45 ACP - 230 Grain FMJ - Military Ballistics Industries. From 200 shots a the range, only one misfired. Great accuracy I hit the bulls eye at 45 feet. I recommend this product!!
