This 45 Long Colt cartridge by Sellier & Bellot sports a 230 grain projectile, which is a common bullet weight for its caliber. The bullet features a 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc jacket, which hardens it substantially so that it can easily penetrate targets. The bullet also features a cavity in its tip that causes it to expand dramatically during penetration, an ability amplified by the notches around its jacket’s tip. If you’re looking for an effective and affordable means of using your single-action revolver for personal protection, then this Czech-made cartridge is an excellent option.

A: Hi Sheltie! I haven't tested this ammo in your rifle, but it ought to work like a charm. The JHP bullet won't touch any part of the abutting round's primer.

Q: Can this be used in my Winchester 1892 lever action rifle, my lack of knowledge on ammo does supersede me to ask the question. Thanks in advance

A: Hi Patrick! The answer is yes. If a rifle is chambered for 45 Colt, then it can fire all 45 Colt ammunition (which is also often called "45 Long Colt" or "45 LC").
