Lots of failures to fire due to bad primers
Lucky Gunner is a great company and will purchase from you again. But, Maxxtech ammo is low quality and unreliable and is only good for range ammo. Do not use this ammo if you are taking a training course. There are better choices at the same or similar price points.
Slide won't lock open
In my Smith & Wesson Shield Plus. Shot for magazines full, none of them lock the slide open. Have never had failure to lock open in any other ammo, and switched to Winchester after this and slide locked open Perfectly each time.
I'll have to attribute this to the ammo. Despite the good value, not going to buy this again. Slide lock is very important for realistic reloads at the range in your training.
Multiple primer failures
I bought 2000 rounds to use in my machine gun. I am getting 2-3 primer failures per 50 rounds. This is the only ammo that I have had problems with running through it. I’ll swap guns and will have failures with that gun, so it is the ammo and not the gun.
Great value for range practice
Reading the reviews online before buying this brand, I almost didn’t buy them. Failure to eject etc and people bashing it. So I did what any self respecting guy would do, and bought 1k of this brand and shot all of it. Not a single problem. Shoots like a charm. Now I only bought the 124 grain, so can’t speak for other grains, and I only own Sigs, so only shot with those. Again, no idea how they will perform in other guns. But for me, zero problems. Excellent practice ammo
I fired 250 rounds in two different pistols (CZ P-01, H&K P30). Some rounds had a noticeably heavier recoil than others. One round barely had enough charge to clear the barrel (didn’t cycle the slide). After I use these up I’ll probably avoid purchasing this brand again. I’m used to variations from round to round, just not this frequently.
Aside from that they have performed as expected on the range.
