Remington named this ammo line “Range” because that’s where it most belongs. This round’s middleweight 124 grain bullet exits the muzzle at around 1,110 fps, which is just beneath the speed of sound and accordingly a little bit quieter. This round’s ballistic performance is just like a self-defense load’s, but its FMJ won’t expand to inflict a harsher injury during penetration. The FMJ’s streamlined profile, reliable feeding, economical design, and clean shooting copper jacket have all made it the bullet of choice for target practice.
Remington takes considerable care to pair their FMJs with uniform components. Any 9mm handgun should be able to handle this ammo’s new brass, clean burning propellant, and responsive primers just as it was designed to. A solid investment by the case, and also a good fallback if you ever run out of hollow point ammo!
