So what do you do if you want to reduce your exposure to lead while you’re firing the nine – especially indoors, where the wind don’t blow? You reach for something even better than Fred and co. You pick up the Speer Lawman.
This USA-made training cartridge isn’t loaded with an FMJ – a bullet which exposes its lead core’s base to hot propellant gasses. It is a TMJ, with a jacket that totally seals away its lead core. Ignition doesn’t cause the TMJ to emit lead gas, which means less lead residue inside you, your barrel, and your gun range.
This round’s 135 grain bullet is as heavy as it can be until it starts trespassing into supersonic range. Short story: if you want the “highest-velocity subsonic” range ammo you can lay your hands on, then you yabba-dabba do want Speer Lawman.
