Remington excellent as always!!
This product as well as any product I have had made by Remington is excellent. I fired these rounds through my Smith and Wesson 686+ with a 7 inch Barrel. These rounds don’t seem to have quite the juice as the federal 125s but still perform excellent with about 15 inches of penetration and about 60 caliber expansion when fired through wet pack. The only problem I had was with the box obviously not Remington‘s fault apparently when unpacking from a lot someone sliced through the side with a cutter rounds were undamaged but when I took them out of the packaging from shipping they all fell out no big deal though still good price and I would buy them again from lucky gunner.
Excellent ammo, my EDC LOAD FOR 50YRS.
1450fps in a 4 inch barrel, 1350-1375fps in a 2 inch barrel, hot load very good even out of a 2 inch snub nose, my EDC LOAD IN A 2INCH S&W MODEL 60, VERY HOT LOAD, GREAT BULLET EXPANSION, BEEN USING IT FOR 50 YEARS
Full Power .357 Magnum!
Disclosure, I bought these at my local range as I needed ammo on short notice.
Glutton for punishment? We are, and we shot these from our Smith & Wesson M&P 340 (Scandium J-Frame). Wife and I each shot about 10 rounds and had enough. Bruised our hands, but worth it to understand 5 rounds of this can be carried with confidence when backed with proper training. More power than what you'd ever need for self defense, but is that really ever a true statement? What it reminds you of when shooting a gun that does not tame the recoil, is the brute power you're actually sending down range. Really would like to see a ballistic gelatin review from Lucky Gunner in on these in 125gr to show the power these rounds truly bring to the table. Needless to say out of a snubnose J-Frame these things are as loud as my 12 gauge and truly send a shockwave and fireball downrange. Seems to shoot very accurate, though we have only shot it out of the snubby. We were able to keep combat accurate groupings at 7 yards no problem. Wife giggled at the boom and recoil - proud husband moment as it's for her carry gun.
This is the ammo you are looking for!
I'm very happy with this ammo. I use it for practice and have carried it for personal protection. I've shot several thousand HTP rounds over the past 5 years and I've never had any type of failure in either or my S&W 686 revolvers (2.5 & 4 inch). I find the propellant to be clean burning and the accuracy outstanding. Buy a box, you will not be disappointed.
The real deal
This is the true 357 Magnum load that earned the 357 its legendary reputation. This load has been know to exceed 1500 FPS from 4 inch barrels and absolutely destroys an adversary. I heard, but can't confirm, that when the Kentucky State Police used this load they never had a failure to stop. Thats not to say that its never happened. I do know that if I were to go up against another person who was under the influence of drugs this is the load I would want. The Golden Sabers and the other premium hollow points are way below the velocity of this round. This is my choice.
