This round’s 158 grain bullet is a flat point jacket. It’s barely different from the conventional FMJ you would use for target practice, with the gilding metal sheath that prevents both deformation under intense pressure and undue barrel fouling. True to its name, this bullet ends with a broad surface rather than a rounded nose. This lets it act rather like a hole punch when it connects with a sheet of paper, so you can count on clean, easily scored shot placements on your target.
Prvi Partizan is nearing their 100th anniversary, and the Serbian manufacturer is only getting better with age. Go anywhere in the world and look inside a police officer’s or soldier’s weapon, and there’s a good chance you’ll find Prvi Partizan’s ammo. (Don’t actually try this, because the foreign police officer or soldier is certain not to appreciate it.) This round’s straight and strong brass shell casing feeds and extracts easily, won’t split, and reloads well. Its bullet is devoid of the steel that could have gotten it banned at some ranges, and its primer is non-corrosive for rust-free performance.
