Armscor’s USA ammunition isn’t just loaded in the country it’s named after (specifically Montana). It is also loaded with semi-jacketed hollow point bullets, which are (A) 240 grains (i.e. the most popular weight for the cartridge), (B) flat in nose profile, which leaves nothing to worry about if you’re using a lever-action rifle, (C) incapable of attracting a magnet, and (D) designed to live up to hunters’ and defenders’ expectations for penetration and terminal expansion.
Target. Hunting. Defense. The SJHP handles itself quite satisfactorily in all circumstances. If you use this ammo for either of the first two aforementioned applications, you’ll definitely want to keep and handload the empty brass. (You’ll probably want to retire any shells involved in the third application.)
