Exellant Range Ammo
I have used S&B FMJ of all calibers that I shoot at the range for over 4 decades. Very reliable, but they have to be, having been doing it for 200 years. It's always been one of the least expensive FMJ cartridges available besides being one of the better performers.
230 gr. FMJ is the only ammo I shoot in my .45's for range practice. (I also test 230 gr. JHP ammo from various makers to use as my carry ammo.) 853 fps S&B FMJ at the range makes perfect practice for me.
And Lucky Gunner is who you want to order from.
Breaking in my Dan Wesson 1911 Specialist - Great first experience with ammo and 1911
First 100 rounds ran without any problems. Manual says to shoot 50 rounds and then clean, however, I kept going cuz I didn't want to stop. My hands were not dirty after shooting. I used the recommended FP-10 (its a CLP) for its initial cleaning and lubing and ran the rails wet.
I've fired one box of 50 rounds of this ammo through my SIG 1911. Twice it failed to feed. This is the first time my SIG has ever failed to feed (Small sample size, but a 4% malfunction is high in my opinion).
Great ammo, great prices
I have pretty much narrowed all my ammo purchases to Lucky Gunner. I've compared their prices to all others and they either beat or match anyone else. The selection is always great, web site design can't be beat and they ship and process without hesitation.
Great Ammo at a Great Price
I have shot hundreds of rounds of this ammunition in my Kimber Eclipse ll and haven't had a single malfunction.
It's accurate and clean too and as usual, Lucky Gunner delivers the best price and service anywhere.
Had fun with my son and his bride
Completely dependable at a reasonable price so used it for introducing my son and his bride to my 845. They had a blast and so did I. The price point at LG's make it all the sweeter as does the predictably excellent service. Thanks again!
On Target, Again
Sellier & Bellot make outstanding ammunition. I have used both 9mm and .45 ACP. After several hundred rounds I am pleased to report no jams, misfires, or other problems. I am very pleased with the price and performance of this product.
No Complaints At All
I bought 1000 rds of S&B 115 grain FMJ in 9mm that worked very nicely, so I got some of this ammo for my new Sig Nightmare in .45 ACP. In one session, I shot 150 rounds - 50 S&B, 50 PPU, and 50 Federal American Eagle, all in 230 grain FMJ. No failures at all. I am leaning toward S&B as my all-purpose go-to ammo. Maybe not the least expensive ammo out there, but it seems to work well for me.
Sellier & Bellot ammunition is fantastic. I have used both 9mm and 45 ACP. One hears so much about "value," and it is always a happy surprise to purchase a product that lives up to the concept. I found this ammunition to be consistent, accurate, and no malfunctions. Buy it!
Shoots well, leaves a mess
When I first started shooting this round in my brand new Kimber, I thought they were great. Since the pistol was new, I wanted to put a few rounds through to break it in. After 100 rounds, I noticed the gunpowder on my hands. At around 125 rounds, my new pistol started to jam. I pushed on, and within 10 more shots, the action locked up. My hands were filthy.
Others on this site have claimed this round is clean shooting. That wasn't my experience. I rate it a three only because the rounds did group well. I'll be looking for a different brand for my range shooting.
Good looking and performing ammo
We all want our ammo to work well, but I think we all want it to look good too.
This Sellier & Bellot ammo comes in a handsome box and the cartridges look bad ass.
Then you go to the range and it works great, and the value is fantastic.
Another Lucky Gunner great buy!
I originally bought some of the S&B 9mm ammo for my wife's Kimber Stainless Target ll and thought it was fabulous ammo.......relatively clean, no feed issues, and very cost effective. So.......I then bought 500 rounds of the .45 ACP for my pistol and love it! I will definitely buy more for both pistols, as it is now my ammo-of-choice for range practice.
Good plinking choice in my 1911
I took my father out to an outdoor range recently, and wanted to have plenty of ammunition for us. I bought 5 boxes of the S&B ammo, and we shot just about all of it through either my Taurus PT1911 or my brother-in-law's Kimber 1911. It all just worked -- no misfeeds, soft primers, etc. I've bought S&B for my 1911, my Tokarev, and my Mosin and it's all worked great.
Clean and Reliable
I've shot many types of .45 ACP ammo and for the value of S&B I'll always use this. I used some reloads once that a range had on sale and it shot so dirty that my Springfield 1911 would jam during feeding after only 20 rounds - horrible powder. So I'll stick with S&B.
Why spend more on range ammo? I love this stuff. I've shot thousands of rounds in 9mm and .45 and every single one went bang. I also like the narrow boxes that take up less room in my gear bag. I'm stockpiling this stuff.
I ordered a 1000 rounds, I have already used about 500 in the past two months in my Glock 30. Performance wise not a single malfunction with the use of this ammo, then again my glock 30 has never had a single malfunction either. It hast eaten every kind of ammo I have used on this particular gun. This ammo is clean, accurate and at a fair price for good target ammo. I would definitely buy again!
