Yes, I did have a chance to cycle a few rounds of this 8MM Mauser ammo while visiting friends in Idaho last week. With the cartage and its 196-grain projectile, my rifle kicked like a mule. Love it!

At $1.20/rd this ammo is solid. It's all you need for practicing at the range up to 150 yards. Further than 150 you would be better off finding ammo that flies truer with higher fps, but for the price this is great.

If you have an M1 Garand this is the ammo you need...all the milsurp M2 Ball has been shot up. Don't exceed the pressure or velocity parameters of your old rifle with modern ammo.

Accurate Garand ammo!
Review by Patriot Mike
Swabbed the bore on my CMP M1 Garand purchase, a service grade rifle made by International Harvester. Took it directly down to the CMP's superb Talladega range. After several sighter shots at 100 yds, was able to group most of the remaining 27 rounds near the center of the black! I'm a fair shooter with a very good rifle shooting excellent ammo!

This stuff runs great in my Henry Big Boy - accurate, feeds perfectly, ejects fine. However, in my 3" S&W 686, I get lots of keystone hits. Not sure if its just my individual revolver or if this is really only good in a rifle. YMMV.

Wow, this ammunition was and is the worst possible ammo I have ever shot. Every single round has a different trajectory. You should buy a lotto ticket if you get two shots with in a couple inches of each other. No idea how they are able to sell this stuff in this condition. Incredible.

This was one of the most surprising Ammos we’ve tried. It penetrates well, even when striking heavy bone on Asian buffalo that weigh 2000+ pounds! Heavier than Cape Buffalo! Expansion was very good and most of the bullets were found just underneath the skin on the far side, use them to shoot Asian buffalo, feral cattle and wild pigs weighing in excess of 300 pounds. All in Australia. Small box of 10 fits perfectly in a pocket. Just don’t try and get them out of the box in a hurry! Solid, dependable, Good Ammo! Second, only to A-frame and barnes TRX, Copper hollow points. I consider those the very best.
